Deian McBryde* received his Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law. He served on the Executive Board of the Student Bar Association, represented the University to the National Hispanic Bar Association (HNBA), and was Co-President of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association (NMDLA) Student Division.
Mr. McBryde is a certified Mediator and Family Mediator, and a volunteer in New Mexico’s Second Judicial District to support families that appear pro se (without counsel) in Family Court. He also completed an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) externship with the University of New Mexico Staff Ombuds Services, where he developed training materials for mediation staff.
Mr. McBryde joined Chapman and Priest, P.C. following a career in business, employee development, the arts, and consulting. Prior to practicing law, Mr. McBryde directed client services, claims, and operations for the Mountain States Life Insurance Company of America; served as an organizational change manager (OCM) supporting systemic and cultural change for large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) software installations at the City of Albuquerque; supervised adult and youth learning programs for Apple Inc. at ABQ Uptown; and held a prestigious legal internship at Fidelity Investments. He has worked as a corporate and employee trainer, marketing specialist and event producer for nationally known organizations and brands, such as Morgan Stanley, Absolut, JPMorgan Chase Bank, and the Law Department of the City of New York. Mr. McBryde is also an experienced entrepreneur having owned and operated his own small businesses.
Mr. McBryde currently practices in the areas of insurance defense, employment disputes, personal injury, wrongful death, general litigation, and maintains an interest in family law and mediation.
